What is Interlibrary Loan? How do I request one?
Answer
Interlibrary loan (ILL) lets NWACC students, faculty, and staff borrow materials and get copies of articles not available in our library. It is a free service! Books can be picked up at our front desk. Articles are generally provided via email.
How much does it cost?
This is usually a free service. If the lending library asks for a fee, you will be contacted and asked if you'd like to pay the fee.
How do I place a request?
Use the Interlibrary Loan Request Form. Fill out as much information as you are able.
How long does it take to receive it?
Arrival times vary. A majority of articles are received within 2 to 4 working days of request. Books generally take 6-10 days.
How can I pick up the item?
Generally, articles will be emailed to you. For books and other physical items, you will be notified through NWACC email when it is available for checkout. If you want to pick up at Washington County, please indicate that when you fill out the form.
If you have any problems making a request, please contact the Library at 479-619-3154 or library@nwacc.edu.
