Q. How can I buy my textbooks at the NWACC Bookstore in Fall (August) 2020?
Purchasing textbooks from Barnes & Noble on campus.
This fall, the NWACC Bookstore plans to be open with limited hours and capacity once classes begin on August 24.
Hours will be Mon.-Thurs., 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. -1 p.m., closed Sat. and Sun.
Bookstore Reopening Guidelines:
The bookstore plans to open to students on August 24 (first day of classes). There will be safety guidelines in place to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Customers will be required to wear masks as well as practice social distancing while inside the bookstore. The bookstore will have capacity limits, so customers may have to wait outside the doors to be let in as customers leave. Due to the capacity restrictions, students are encouraged to place orders online for shipping to reduce foot traffic in the store.
Fall Book Orders:
As mentioned, students are encouraged to place online orders for shipping to help reduce the foot traffic in the store once it reopens. Orders over $49 will receive free shipping. Students can place orders for books, supplies, electronics, laptops, and clothing on the website: https://nwacc.bncollege.com
Curbside Pick Up:
Since the bookstore will not be reopening until the first day of classes, curbside pick-up will be available starting now and until the first day of classes (August 24). Orders placed as “Pick Up” during this time will be curbside pick-up only. Once the order has been processed, students will receive a “Ready for Pick up” email with directions on how to pick up their books. Please DO NOT come up to campus until the “Ready for Pick Up” email is received. Pick up hours will be 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. Customers must wear masks when picking up their orders.
Student Financial Aid:
Financial aid funds will be available for students to use from August 10th-September 8th. All books and supplies must be purchased within this time frame if financial aid is being used. All financial aid orders will be processed starting on that date. The only items students CAN NOT purchase with financial aid are clothing, emblematic gift items and trade books. Everything else is financial aid approved.
