How do I check if my laptop is good enough for schoolwork at NWACC?

Start Here (Windows 10 or 11)

  1. Click the search bar or magnifying glass icon in the bottom left corner
  2. Type: About your PC and select it

For Windows 11

  1. In the "About your PC" window, scroll down to see:
  • Storage (Memory) (e.g., 256 GB)
  • Installed RAM (e.g., 8 GB)

  1. Search for File Explorer and open it
  2. Click This PC (left side)
  3. Look for: Devices and drives

  1. Check the blue bar under Windows (C:). It will say something like “92.8 GB free of 235 GB”
  2. The second number is your total storage capacity

🍎 For macOS

  1. Click the Apple menu (top left) > About This Mac
  2. In the Overview tab, look for:
  • macOS version (e.g., macOS 13 Ventura)
  • Memory (RAM) (e.g., 8 GB)
  1. Click More Info and scroll down to find Storage (e.g., 256 GB)
